Keweenaw snow photos

It's been 15+ years since I've been further west than Marquette or Escanaba in the UP, but that smelter site looks in better condition than I remember.

It became part of the Kewee National park some years ago and some restorations have been done since.

Got some snow photos yesterday. We seen another 5" overnight and this seems to be lake snow which is strange for a west wind.

Here is another of my 12yo assistant. I'm kinda proud of it, or Andrew really because he doesn't have many opportunities to operate machines that require motor skills. His folks don't have a lawn tractor for him to mess with so I got him modestly driving my truck and much more operating our 6x6. His skills and confidence have going up in leaps and bounds. The top photo was taken live as loads this overly costly machine. He's home schooled so mom says he get his HW done ASAP if we're reading out to do trails.

Nice! I don't think I've seen a lift bridge that does the roadway and tracks.
