Take 1 King Kutter carryall (slightly bent), 10 feet of 3/8" x 3" steel, some 1" thick scrap, some old forks, and a beautiful Sunday afternoon....

And now it's actually a useful piece of equipment!

I sure wish I'd had those forks. I think I'd have used them on my front end loader instead of on my 3PH, though.

I'm thinking of doing something similiar for the FEL. I've passed fork-lift grave yards along the interstates, but never when I was in a shopping mood (wife would really love stopping at a junk yard on vacation). None around home.

Anyone have an idea what I should expect to pay for salvaged light-duty (by fork-lift standards) forks?

I bought a 4k walk behind fork lift for $100.
Used the forks for my SSL and had 1000# of lead and steel plates for ballast inside. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
