2023 Kubota GR2120
Hello All,

I am hoping I can get some feedback and guidance here as I just purchased a 2023 Kubota GR2120 with 54" deck and front snowblower. I still have to wait about two weeks until I receive everything but am wondering:

How high off the ground in Inches does the front snowblower raise on this gr2120? Is it 6 or 7 inches or greater - measuring from the ground to the lowest point on the slowblower?

The reason I ask is because I'd like to know if this unit with snowblower attached will make it up my short but steep gravel hill at my home that goes down to my shop? My house is a walk out bungalow and I build a driveway and shop about 7 yrs ago. I don't know what degree slope/steepness (anyone know how to measure exactly?) The gravel hill/driveway is, but it is about 20 feet long give or take with a moderate steep slope
My car and truck go up and down just fine but it is on the steep side.

If taking pictures of this driveway part would benefit, please let me know - although pictures may just make it.more confusing as it may lead a decision astray because it may be hard to tell from pictures?

Or if I can somehow calculate the grade.of hill percentage/steepness?

I really hope the snowblower is able to lift high enough...?

Please advise. Thanks so much

Justin

Not sure why you're worried about height of the blower when its lifted? Can you not just blow the snow as you go? You may need tire chains if it becomes an issue travelling uphill while blowing...

I am worried that the 20 foot piece of the driveway going back to the shop is too steep - it may force me to lift the snowblower off the ground, as high it'll go - in order to drive up the steep part, in efforts to continue snow blowing the front of the driveway/house. I am worried however, even lifting the snowblower off the ground, as high as it'll go - may not be high enough. The snowblower may still 'dig/chafe' into the steep part of the driveway as I try and drive up...

Please see attached pictures of my situation - maybe it will work...?

That steep part of the driveway 'ramp' is about 25-30 feet in length give or take..

I'm thinking that you worry too much. ;>)
Keep in mind that the machine is following the angle of the driveway. If the drive is 20% the machine will also be 20%... The only issue might be where the grade levels off. But even that would be minor. It's not like you're trying to drive across a ditch where you go down into it and then at the bottom you suddenly go up the other side. Once everything arrives take the time to hook up the blower and do a dry run. However, inquire about rear tire chains at the dealer. I'm thinking that you will end up sliding downhill. That would be my worry!!
Let us know how it goes...
