Thats an excellent question Redbug. I don't know the answer. My guess is that if you tell the customs agent that you took the tractor over to do some work and are bringing it back home, they would probably believe you.

Not sure though. I'm guessing the proper thing to do would be to stop in at customs on the way into the US and have them register that you were taking the tractor in.

I don't mind paying the taxes on new stuff but I can purchase a used machine here without tax in a private sale. Used from a dealer gets tax added.

13% tax, ouch. I'd hire a smuggler.

Mine comes with loaded R4's, no toothbar.

It has always been garaged (barned) and was broken in meticulously, with the use of a block heater. It was only used for loader work at low RPMs until about 65 hours at which point I started running a flail mower.
