Kubota M8560 vs Deere 5083E

I just got off the phone with my John Deere salesman. He said the third function for the 553 loader was $3000. The parts for this cost $1970. My gosh!

I hate to ask this...but does anyone know if the third function on the 5083e is a diverter valve or a dedicated hydraulic line?

huummm... the nice factory 3rd function kit with the sleak buttons on the loader stick are less than half that from Kubota

Personally I find the deere prices and dealer attitudes a big turn off. Seems they only want millionare customers. Good luck with your purchase.

I just got back from my local Kubota dealer. If I understood the salesman right, the ordered 3rd function was 8 to 9 hundred, and if he installed it, the parts and labor would run about $1200. The price on the 8560M HDC-12 with the 12.4 tire option and one extra remote was $44,800. so....

Prices seem to vary so much depending on location and availability. Your price sounds very good to me. I paid $43,500 for open station M9540HD12-1 with radial tires, cast wheels, 3rd function and 2nd remote which I installed. Each of the hydraulic additions were under $800 apiece but I can't remember exact numbers. There was only one M9540HD12-1 open station availability to me in a 500 mile radius.

I think tomorrow I am going to look at and test drive a M8560 and a 5083e. These tractors are in another town about 60 miles away. A few months ago this dealer had a M8540 and a M8560, but I only test drove the M8540. This bone stock Kubota M8540 HDC-8 he had was somewhere around $47,500 plus tax. I guess.. right now... I am leaning toward the M8560 from the Camden dealer. Man, that is a lot of money.

I test drove a M8560 today. Man that tractor was nice. The only thing I did not like about it was the gas pedal and the foam under the floor mat. I was considering a 72" bucket, but this one had an 84" bucket on it. Do you guys think the 84" bucket would be a better choice.
This dealer has sold several 60 series Kubotas. The only trouble was: one guy did not clean the cab air filter, and he burned something up on the AC unit. That cost him about $3000.

I would go with an 84" bucket. Don't forget about the rear remotes for your Top & Tilt set that you will be needing. Get all 3 with 2 of them having the float function.

We went with an 84" on our 8540 and really like it.
