The following link gives list prices of Kubota tractors, including the T-1600. I've been wondering about the T-Series prices myself. Decided to use a "search engine" and located this site. Keep in mind that these prices were for 1998, but at least it's an reply to your post. I believe the price was $6,200..........

I dont think that model is still available. Unless maybe you find one that has not moved off the showroom floor. The smallest diesel garden tractor kubota makes right now is the TG1860. This is the model inbetween the T1760 (liquid cooled 17hp gas, 48"deck), and the G2160 (21hp diesel, shaft drive deck up to 60") Try this link.

Yes this tractor was a 13.5 H.P. twin cylinder diesel. Most had a 44" deck with optional grass catcher with a blower that run from the gear box with a shaft and u joint. It was only made for about 8 years. It had about 4 flaws otherwise would have been perfect. The pto belts were short 31.5 in. and got hot and didn't last long, the pins were soft mild steel and chewed away on the pto shaft and the deck tensioner pulley. The fuel tank fill was under seat so you needed a funnel. The shut off solenoids didn't last long and were expensive. Kubota should have improved on this tractor instead of making a whole new model and they would have had a **** of a mower. I think it was made from about 1990 to 1998. I wish they still made these with new improvements.

These with the diesels seem to be ok, maybe, at best. Much better than a Cub or Deere in the same sort of size range. But the gas series T1400 T1600 is trash. Run away.

Unless the price is equivalent to 7 cents a pound by weight, run away from the gas models.
