Yes, we had the crosses wear out on the universal joints on the right axle. Easy to pull the old shafts out (two pieces), BUT not enough room now to put new in (all together)

When installing new (or rebuilt) assembly get the axle halves lined up on one side and then push that side together as far as it will go. You will then be able to get the other side to line up and slide it together. Make sure the axle halves are timed and hopefully you put u-joints with grease fitting in. If you had the older axle frame you need to drill holes to be able to grease outer u-joint.
