L3400 lift jerk ??? Overblown

I don't think they updated anything. i bought an L2800 on Dec. 31 and sent it back on Jan 10 2006 for the L3010 valve. The dealer didn't know anything about the shuddering problem or the over riding clutch so I printed out a few threads from this forum and gave to him, he said he would take care of everything. Kind of a bummer as I only got to play around on my machine for about a half an hour before they took it away.

They didn't change anything. I had a dealer offer to change out the valve if I was interested on a new L3400. This was offered on a tractor that they would have to order, didn't have one like I was interested in on lot. Tried one they did have against the L4400. What a difference. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

This is straight from Kubota, the problem has been fixed on the production line.

The "jerky" 3-point valve on the L2800 and L3400 tractors has been changed in production to the "shockless" type valve used on the GL10 Series tractors. P/N 31351-39604. The serila number breaks for the update are as follows:

L2800F 10929 and up

L2800DT/HST 57745 and up

L3400F 10547 and up

L3400DT/HST 61733 and up

Wonderful! I'm excited to hear this. Now they go back to the top of my list. Can't wait to go try out a new one. Thanks also. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

thanks again for your previous post. i'm sure others have wondered the same thing. by the way, what is the difference between the "F" model vs the "DT/HST", and is it some how stamped on the machine? and exactly where on the L3400 can i find the serial #?

F is 2WD, DT/HST are 4WD. The serial number is stamped on a plate located on the frame just below the engine.
