Does anyone know if the L4400 will opeate on biodiesel without damage? Do not want to wipe out an engine.

I thought the answer was no. Seems like my manual says no. But, I got my L4400 in '05 and that document is dated '06. So that's great info.

I have no idea where to aquire it or even if it would cost less.

Are there any special maintanence issues with it?

Never mind, its all in the announcement. Thanks.

It also stipulates not more than 5% biodiesel. I don't see how such a blend would save money or be worth the additional maintanence issues/risks. And from the announcement Kubota seems to think that it isn't a great idea.

I wouldn't even classify B5 as biodiesel. If that's all the engine will run, then it's just eyewash for the greens, and not really biodiesel compatible. B80 - B100 is the real stuff.
