The FEL manual says to lubricate all grease fittings every 10 hours. I've identified and greased those with the manual-recommended Moly EP grease.

However, it also says to "lubricate joints of control lever linkage every 10 hours".

And I can't figure out where/how/with what.

Help?

Related side question: the L4300 manual says to grease various tractor parts every 50 hours - any reason to grease more frequently?

Depending on the control valve used many will use little joints under your rubber cover that the lever goes through to move the linkage. It would be these joints that should be lubricated.

I pull the rubber boot up the control lever and then use white lithium grease in a spray can to lubricate all of the joints of the lever. Some of them are easier from the bottom and some are easier from the top after the boot is removed. Just set the bucket on the ground and then you can move the control lever all around while the tractor is off and see all of the joints. Spray grease allows you to shoot into the tight spots more easily.
