I bought a used tractor this years. It's a 2008 MF1528 TLB The things sat outside all it's life. I bought it because I got a good price and I figured I'd have some repair to do. I never really had to mess arond in hydrolic so I'm a complete what ever you want a called me :)

Here are some picture of the leak. It look to me that it's leaking by the thread? What should I do to fix this? Is there some kind of teflon tape for Hydrolic fitting? I could unscrew the fitting and add some tape of some kind?

Also something I find odd is that is wet all arond the cylinder not only on the side of the fitting. could it be leaking by the cylender?

What is the best way of fixing this? The pro way :)

Thanks is advance!

No good way to tell from that what the source is. First thing will be to get it very clean and dry, then watch it, or wrap and tape a paper towel around it so you can see where the leak is starting.

Hmmm, invest in some aerosol brake parts cleaner

Wipe oily area off on the cylinder with rag real good.

Spray down the whole end of cylinder with brake parts cleaner to get rid of oil residue.

Operate as usual stopping often to look and see where oil is escaping.

My guess is looking at the pics, its leaking from the o-ring on the boss fitting.... But the oil around the end cap is suspicious, but looks like its originating from the boss fitting.

I agree with the others on cleaning the area to get a better idea on where is the oil coming from.

To me, looks like it's coming from the 90 degree fitting. It's a swivel fitting and under that jam nut, there will be an o-ring that may have gone bad. So it may be just that bad o-ring.

It's coming from the 90% elbow. See picture 113044.

So there is a O ring there tha tneed to be replace?

Yes, you need to take the fitting out and it may look something like this:

Sound good I did not know there was a O ring in there. Are hydrolic O ring any different then other O ring? I have a local shop that sale Bearing and O ring. They should be able to match it. Just want a make sure the material type. if it's important.

The hydraulic shop should be able to help you easily. That's like a couple cents worth of o-rings. You may actually want to get a bunch of them to keep in stock incase the other fittings start leaking as well.

They are Duro 90 O-ring which is harder than most of your commonly found O-rings. A hydraulic supply store is your best bet.
