Hello,
I am looking at purchasing a Woods 1006 loader for my
New Holland TC-18 4wd tractor. I have a question regarding
the front hook-up. I use the tractor with a 3PT.
finish mower and use front weights to counter the rear
mower. Would I be able to use the weights with the
1006 loader? I really dont want to mow with the loader
as a counter weight. Any help would be great. Got price of $2,500 for
Woods and $3,000 for Ford 7106 loader.
Thank you

Can`t really help with the woods setup.I have the 7106 and it doesn`t look like there is any room for weights on the front end.Maybe you could make or buy a bracket for the 3point that will hold your weights (counterweight?) You will need something on the rear when using the loader.

Ray,

I have a TC18 also but no intention for a loader. I also use a 3 pt finish mower with about 190 lbs of front weights.
Won't part of the loader frame stay on the tractor? That may be enough to keep your front end down when mowing.

Guess my brain wasn`t functioning, anyhow with the 7106 yes you can use front weights with the loader off.
