Does it look like much to you??

See any axes/hammers/chains/ or anything else lieing around in the pictures???

No. Just a lot of straight grain red oak. Great stuf. Almost as easy as poplar.

I guess it depends on what you consider much wood??? I spit over 50 cords last late summer/fall, including this oak with extremely tough stringy crotch wood,...
great pics...!
Does the 4-way wedge not damage the cutting edge of the single vertical wedge?

Rub your eyes real hard and look again... lol lol With 50 plus cords, I've split EVERYTHING, easy to split and hard to split, EVERYTHING goes through the 4-way, NO ax needed!

And NO, it doesn't hurt the wedge one bit...

I'd group you in those that have a very powerful splitter that can power through most anything.
Some of us are making do with less.

I have several hydraulic jackhammers. They will probably be standing around! That is the kind of wood I get into. Funny, how you always see splitter and processor demos with such perfect, uniform dainty wood!

I had been thinking about it. I would probably try and just tilt the loader down vertically and push it off.

You must have just touched up the paint on that 4 way wedge hey.

There was super duty paint on my splitter wedge. It took about 25 rick of wood to wear the paint off the sharpened part. I have split several hundred rick of wood and there is still most of the paint on the wedge, foot, and beam.

I really have no idea what this thing of mine will do. If it has enough power, I may entertain the idea of one of those four way wedges. Can one just buy one of those and slide it over the original wedge? Is that in any way standard because I would find that hard to believe.

Absolutely not, but not all of those picts are of how the 4-way looks today. It does have pretty tough paint though... Here's a later pict.,

I bought it almost 2 yrs ago, so it's still pretty new...
