I have a kubota. They make a great tractor. But so does deere, NH, MF, kioti, mahindra, etc. The list is lengthy. And for the most part, prices are competitive.
So what you really need to do is limit it the the dealers with in a range you are willing to travel. And then you need to go get some hands on and get a feel for what size of tractor you acutally want. It is almost impossible to shop and compare tractors just on HP alone.
For example, you mentioned 30-40HP. Well, kubota offers about 6 tractors in that range, all ranging from about a 1700lb tractor to a 3200lb tractor and everything in between.
Kioti offers 3 tractors in that range from 3100lbs to 3600lbs.
You get the idea. Pick a dealer and get a real world feel for the size you are looking for. Then go to that mfg's website and jot down the important specs like weight, loader lift, 3PH lift, etc. Then go to the other mfg's website to find the ones you want to compare it with. Once you have it narrowed down to a few models, test drive and price shop.
