Today I heard someone say you were not suppose to use low sulfur diesel in new model Kubota's. I explained that was incorrect. Has anyone else heard this as well?

It is mandatory in North America. That's what the owner's manual says.

Benelli,

The only proviso is with the engine oil used.

If you are using low sulfur fuel, use API rated CF-4 or CG-4 engine oil.

If you use high sulfur fuel and these oils, cut the drain interval in half (100 hours)

I can't imagine anywhere in the US that does not use low sulfur fuel - maybe in developing countries they use high sulfur fuel so that is why the manual specifies something different.

I think the guy was actually refering to diesel made a few years ago vs today's lower sulfur content to meet stricter emissons.

Except the OP said "newer model Kubotas".

ULSD is fine, only issues are with injector lubrication and you can easily add a little fuel conditioner to improve that.
