Massey Ferguson 231 3pt lift not working properly..
I recently did some work on a rear axle on a MF 231... drained about 5 gallons of fluid from the rear end, and re-added universal hydraulic fluid when job was complete... Now the 3 point is working improperly & erratically...I accidentally overfilled it , as repairs were made on a somewhat steep hill side, and when it showed up on dipstick, it was not level.... I ordered a new screen/filter, as someone told me this might be the problem, but no clue where it's located... even the printed diagram looks different..
If i put the draft control in full up position, and lift control in full up position, it will raise, but draft control does not work, and it's eitehr full up or full down, with no control in between...
Any suggestions on how to fix a screw up? closeset Massey Dealer is not that close now.
