Massey Ferguson 210-4 Value/Thoughts

What do you guys figure a 210-4 with loader is worth? It allegedly has 4wd/Front end issues and has been parked for the last year or so. Don't know what it would take to get running again, at least a new battery... other than that the tractor looks to be in good shape. I understand these were made for Massey as well as Allis and Simplicity by a Japanese company and parts are fairly hard to get. The guy wants $2500 for it, I'm not sure if it's a fair price or a good deal, or if it's not worth the trouble of buying and fixing? What do you guys think.

Running/useable one like that, on tractorhouse.com, asking <$4000.

With issues you mention, offer $1000, go from there. Parts and labor could add up fast...

I agree with Greg. I might consider paying $1500 if I knew it ran, but paying $2500 for a non-running orphan model tractor with front end problems seems pretty high to me.

Just to clarify that's Canadian dollars, I think 2500 CAD is about $1850 US. Not worried about labour costs but parts cost and availability concerns me. Leaning towards letting it be for now. I know where it's at so if it's still there in a year or two maybe he'll want less for it.

Hinomoto manufactured them with Toyosha motors. That's not good on either count as Toyosha became Hinomoto in brand name while still manufacturing the motors as Toyosha motors. That company is no longer in business.

I would try and build a "worst case scenario" repair list just to get an idea of where you'll end up to start. It's a shame that despite wearing the Massey Ferguson crest, that their support of these machines is so minimal.
