Last summer I bought a new MF 1840M (and love it). I was surprised when it first regened at 17.7 hrs. for about 0.3 hrs. and today it regened again at 29.5 hrs. for 0.2 hrs. It has been used exclusively for mowing at 540 PTO speed with a Woods 6' rear mount mower. The only idle time is getting it in and out of the barn. All diesel is fresh "off road" treated with Hotshots Everyday Treatment. My only other regen experience is with JD's that consistently regen the first time at about 50 hours for 0.5 hr. What has been your experience with new MF's? Is regening this often for short periods normal?

If you've owned it for that long and only put 30 hours on it perhaps the Regen strategy is hours or time based. In other words every six months or 50 hours? Might ask dealer that question?

Hard to say how a new tractor was run prior to sale, and even a couple of 700rpm hours can make for a short first dpf cycle.
My Kubota settled in on 50 hours between regens at about 12-13m each.

I don't want to sidetrack this topic. But how is your general experience with your 2860?
I'm looking into that series but there is barely any info out.
How does it hold up? Any brake downs? Cold start capabilities? What's your use?

Pm me please not to disturb this topic too much.

Thanks
