AGCO parts calls for a 3605427M1 block heater which threads into a 1" NPT hole which I cannot find on my engine. I do see frost plugs one on RHS and two on LHS (maybe 3 and I just cannot see the 3rd).

I checked the Service Manual and the Parts Catalog and neither of them mentions the block heater and provide no diagrams or photos of where it is supposed to be located.

Does anyone have experience with this and can confirm the correct/intended location for a block heater and if it is threaded or replaces a frost plug?

The engine is an Iseki E3CG 3-Cylinder.

Many thanks for any guidance.

Cheers,
Steve

And yes my tractor refused to start for the first time ever this past Friday when it was -24 deg C. Time for a new battery too as the original battery struggled with the cold also. It is due for replacement after 12 years anyway.

heater prob does not ACTUALLY thread into anything, the 2 bolts on bracket thread in to hold it and the heater uses o-rings to seal in place of frost plug.
least my gc2400 was like that, can't see it being much different.

I have seen the GC2400 configuration and the 1635 is quite different. Below is a photo that AGCO parts says is correct. Would be great if someone on the forum has the same/similar model and can comment.

Plate bolts to engine and has a boss that fits into a frost plug hole. The block heater screws into the boss on the plate. I believe its done that way because there is very little depth available for the block heater element inside the block.
