Just recently picked up a mf18 looking for the proper ripping shanks for it. Dose any one know the proper ones or have recommendations?

goto your local implement store and see if one off theirs will fit. or a neighbor.

I have a Massey 18 scraper, which was made by Gill for Massey.
I purchased shanks from Quality Farm.

You will need to make retainers to hold the blades in. Below is the post I used as a reference for making my retainers. I would not make them as long as Degolyerent and i did. I would only make them 1-1/2" long instead of 3". Degolyerent says that he thinks 3/4" would work, but I think that's too short.

You might also be able to use a spring key like Gannon does. I did not try it, but perhaps should have.

Also you are missing the pin on the rear part of the blade, above the back support. This pin holds the ears together so you do not have the rear brace come free.
