Now i have got all the parts out, it did soak in a can whit diesel for some hours and that did it.

My new engine seems to need some work, no spark and it might need some valve and pistonring work, was hoping for fill fuel and pull but no....

Found a brand new knife for it on the barn, all so found a parts sickle bar where the gear and knife attachment was in very good shape. My old was in need of serious repair because of lack of lubrication over years of use, it had wear into the arm it self and there was hardened screws in it to take that wear from the factory but noe one cared to replace them.

I do have a spare on the old engine but I must find a flywheel puller to get it of. Its a M40 with unknown treads.

Having fun yet? Its just part of the using old iron thing. Sooner or later everything gets ironed out and you end up with a good machine.
