Well, looking at the front axle and steering linkage, plus the wheels, it appears to be a FORD. (but the hood doesn't look right)

I came across this one earlier today. Looks sort of .....dormant, doesn't it?

I don't think it would be a unstyled John Deere because it has the geared flywheel for the starter that came into production in 1940's.

You are right, I looked at the pics again and you can see the front part of the tractor where the grill attaches to. With the fly wheel as big as it is, it could be a model G.:D
