Isn't Markham now Gator?

Yes, you are 100% correct...but there are THOUSANDS of post's that have the Markham name attached to them referencing grapples. Even searching the "Millonzi" name will turn up great info and they have been out of business for 3 or so years now.

Kenny is right, there are thousands of posts, if you have any specific questions, fire away.

I'm getting ready to start cutting firewood for next year this week. The grapple gets maximum use with this chore. It's nice to put the brush where you want to burn it than having to make burn piles where ever the firewood happens to be growing. Plus, I'll cut about 6 cords of logs, and carry them as one ton logs and stack them near the barn. This spring when I've used most of the firewood stored in the barn, I'll use the grapple to move the logs to the barn where I'll cut, split and stack them. I don't touch the wood until it is where it's going to spend the summer.

I used to carry 100+ pound rounds to the truck and throw them in the back then roll them off in the barn, I'm not sure how many more years I could continue doing it that way.

Gator 48 seems to please just about anyone with your size tractor. No sense in getting bigger.

Make sure you are sitting down before you read it.

Anbo's are nicely engineered and built but IMO they really don't offer much extra to the CUT user over grapples that cost much less. If clamshell style appeals then also check out the WRLong clamshell. Most of us have been happy with the more common standard or root rake style grapple.

API Grapple. Not as mean looking as the others but work good. Less money.
