I'm still deep in my search for a good used Ford 3910.
I've run across several with the following model number:

CA414D

I've been able to break this down to:

CA4=3910
1=Diesel
4=Independent PTO
D=??

The D transmission code has me a bit confused.
I know that C is an 8f 2r transmission but what's the D???

Thanks,
Mark

Thank you Joe.
Is there a website somewhere that lists all these codes?
I can find a website for the old *000 series, but I haven't found a website with the newer codes.

What's the letter designation for the 6x4 transmission?

Mark, for the 10's and newer I have not seen a complete chart, we had one when I worked in a Ford Dealer in Atlanta back in the 90's, sure wish I'd copied it.
I just happened to stumble across this add after reading your post the other day -

tractor ford 391

I believe the code for the 6x4 is"K"

Thanks again, Joe.
That ad is one of the ones I mentioned having the D trans code.
I haven't been to look at that tractor yet.
After looking at several tractors that were very overpriced for the condition they were in
and putting down a deposit yesterday on what was advertised as a 3910
but by Serial# and codes turned out to be a 2910, I'm about ready to give up on
these Craigslist ads.
