You transmission shifter forks have slipped out of alignment with the shifter thus locking it in gear. I am not familiar with your tractor but in general you need to remove the gear shift and get access to the shifter forks and realign everything back to neutral. I have an older tractor which occasionally suffers this situation and now I can fix it in about 10 minutes. Just don't go forcing anything or you will break it big time. It should not be a hard job

It is hard to tell from the pics on the N/H site but there are usually detent balls and springs that hold the trans in gear. If the detent ball gets wore it can get stuck and wont let it come out of gear.The parts diagram shows them but I am not familiar with your tractor so I can not tell you how to access them. On my 1900 there are bolts on the top trans cover that hold the detents.
