I have a 10 year old JD brush hog and i changed the gear oil and the seal last year. I brush hogged an acre today and found that the gearbox already had water in it. What can i do to keep water out. Thanks for your help.

Is the gearbox breather not plugged with dirt?

If you store you cutter outside, suggest you put a cover over the gearbox.

It will draw water in through the vent, or through the seals sometimes best is to cover it from the weather.
