Thanks for your answerbut I didn't know if there was a priming had to be done or anything special that had to be done to change the pump as in certain stroke the motor had to be turned to.
The pump is easier to install if the pushrod is in the retracted position. The pump does not need to be primed, but I recommend letting a few strokes of fuel to pass through it before connecting the outlet line to the carb. That keeps any debris from entering the carburetor.
