Hey all, glad everyone ELSE got a kick out this! LOL
I searched the internet and it looks like the Michigan seat may be the closest match, they might even make it for New Holland, I don't know. I have a Northern Tools nearby and will take a look at what they have. Most of the seats out there look too thin or small.
One major factor in selecting this tractor is the comfort (of the seat), ergonomics and ease of operation. I've tried several other color tractors and found this one to be the best for me, especially when I'm on it for 4-5 hours on my day off, I need to be comfortable. Basically unless I can find a very good or better match at a better price then I will stay with the OEM seat.
I asked a friend i the upholstery business and he could do a basic recovery but not match the contour of the original unless he could buy the replacement cushion.
Also, thanks to Mr. Horse, I found the seat pan to be very rusted on the inside! Strange because the outside and seat looked almost brand new. The rust must be from moisture under the foam and it looks like the pan itself was not painted.
For any of you concerned about the horse, he's doing just fine. If that plastic got caught up and caused colic it would have added an easy $150 (or more) to the price of the new seat when adding in the vet bills.
Thanks for the help! I'll let you know.
