More than 40 over the years. Ten at any one time. Mostly Ford and New Holland
I picked up this mid 1950’s 180 amp Forney buzz box last night for $40. Today I attached a new 50 amp plug, removed the cover and blew out the dust.

I had just enough time to fire it up before coming in to make dinner.

This is what an old $40 AC transformer welder can do: 130 amps, 1/8” 6013, 1/2 inch plate.

I've seen these old welders (mostly Century and Lincoln) In dirt floor buildings. They still work but the guys are afraid to move them because they'd fall apart. I'd like to restore a real old one just to have.

Granted I haven't seen every welder ever made, but the 120 volt receptacle on the front is new to me. Does it have a 3 conductor with ground power cord? My father in law has an old Forney sitting in a shed. Probably hasn't been used for 50 years since his father died. Someday I'll drag it out from the pile and see if it works.
