I've been poking around here for some time salivating over some of the things all you guys have built for your tractors. Thanks to all of you I've learned lots of important things.:thumbsup: I'm not new to tractors but this is my first with FEL. This thing is great!!! With the new attachments I can now do much more.:cool2: Thanks to rjmack for the easy fork design. (yes it looks a little long), but it's easier to cut shorter than extend after the fact. I copied spo307's design for the fork rack. Unfortunately I have the slo-tach setup for now.:( The Shrub bucket is from Champy. The cutting edge on the bucket is from and old motor grader blade I got from the county garage. Thanks again to all the great builders on TBN. This thing is contagious.:D:D

Hey Mel, nice job.

I have an MF 1240 tractor with an FEL and Id like to change out the bucket for some forks.

How "slow" is changing attachments and are there any tricks when you do change them? I read once that the arms are difficult to get into position to re-attach things.

Do you have the dimensions to make a bracket to attach things?

Thanks.

Not that bad actually. The trick is to get lined up good and straight. You can see the lift arm and get a pretty good line up. Maybe just a little high and lift the bucket or frame just enough to tet the pin in. The tilt cyl. Will work individually. Just takes a light touch on the controlls. Maybe 5 min. at most. Just not as convinent as quick attach. I just made a cardboard template of my mounts and transfered it to 1/4" plate.

Thanks Melanelly.

I have a fork rack and forks laying on a pallet. I need to get it into service.

I'll take the bucket off to get a good template. Then I should paint the bucket while its off.

Thanks Mel.

I can sure use another project to add to my project list!

This looks like a practical way to make an SS plate.
