Shopping for a tractor
I’m considering purchasing a 2800M series tractor with HST/loader/deluxe cab.

I’m interested in hearing about the ownership experience especially if you’ve had trouble with it and how and/or if Massey fixed it for you.

Well I’ve put about 12 hours on my 2850M HST/Deluxe cab.

I’ve mowed 10 acres with it
I’ve installed vine supports/repaired a post temporarily
I’ve removed a stump
I’ve removed old pole barn posts
I’ve moved brush and tree limbs
I’ve moved pallets of bricks

Please ask me anything you want to know!

That is one M-F= Mighty-Fine piece of equipment You have there & nice decision & thanks for sharing pictures of your new tractor ! & the only question I have is what was it that made decide to go with this model Massey-Ferguson? Again that is a very nice M-F.

The final decision was between a Branson 20 series CH and the MF.

I was nervous about the continued existence of Branson, not because of quality but because of corporate decisions at Branson. Mainly the acquisition by TYM and Bransons suddenly being repainted with Bad Boy stickers.

In the end I paid more for MF for the following:
- Continued support
- easier ingress/egress from cab
- air ride seat(wife has bad back)
- better ergonomic adjustability (wife and I are short)
- better ergonomic placement of controls
- cruise control that’s easier to operate than Branson
- adjustable HST trans(response/max speed)
- speedometer
-removable clean out screens for radiator etc

Things I dislike about MF over the Branson:
- it costs more
- more complex engine management/emissions.

That's a honest assessment & answer! Good luck with the tractor.

I bet you spend a lot of your free time just looking around and contemplating any reason you can to go put it to work!

I definitely did!
Any day on the tractor is a good day to me.

Yes I do that a lot.

I’ve already managed 30 hrs in two weeks
