Manual says use Massey Ferguson Multiguard Oil or equivalent that meets or exceeds MIL-L-46152 API Service CC or MIL-L-2104C API Service CD

Maybe Mobil Delvac Extreme 10W-30 Synthetic Blend Heavy Duty Diesel Engine Oil? Or maybe I could just use the Quaker State SAE10w-30 full synthetic?

Any suggestions?

Use a diesel oil in what ever weight suits your climate.

Don't over think this.

API CC and CD are obsolete, what "new" API code do I need to look for to meet the old CC and CD? It appears CI-4, CH-4, and CK-4 would all possibly be sufficient?

Use a 10w-30 'full' synthetic and continue to march

Seeing as I had this up for another post here we go again;
As has been mentioned CH-4,CI-4, CJ-4 or even CK-4 should work for you.
My preference would be an older formulation actually such as the CH-4 or CI-4.

I use M1 0w30 ESP rated C3, light diesel. Good enough for me.

What's your take on conventional vs. synthetic blend vs. full synthetic in tractors? Thanks for posting this great info!

All of my engines are on full synthetics either Amsoil or Rotella T6 usually 5W-40,
with one exception my Dynahoe with a 4-53 Detroit gets a straight 30 or 40 weight,
the two stoke diesel was never spec'ed for a multi-grade oil and was actually noted not to use a multi-grade.

my massy called for 10-30 as well but i put 0-40 full synthetic since i operate my tractor in some pretty hot days and cold days as well … full synthetic is more expensive but offer more protection (they say) …. i agree with Snobdds go with your operating climat both semi or full synthetic are good option

Amsoil is not "full synthetic". They use a Group III base oil. Only full synthetics seem to be M1 or Pennzoil.
