Opinions on the F155 tractor

There are two sources for a starter. Weavers has it for 210 plus shipping, Southern Global wants $285, but then most of their parts seem high price wise.
RareElectrical used to sell on Ebay. I see they are now on Amazon.

I bought their starter for the YM240 15+ years ago, under $100, its still like new. Quality seems to be the same as NAPA generic parts. Recommended.

These starters are just generic Japanese car stuff, you don't need to go to a Yanmar specialist.

I've been amazed by what my local NAPA (old school) has available for my 2310 and was looking for a shift boot at TS and my YM was listed on the pkg, cool...

I picked up a starter for 1/3rd the cost of all of the online Ag sellers, it was $59+core at O'Reilly Auto Parts, a national chain box store!

1972 or 1974 Datsun (Nissan). I posted the details on this site about a year back.

Still using my Org. Starter. Had to rebuild it 5/12/2011 though. $72.76.

The starter I need right now is not yanmar, it's for our current Hinomoto E14 with the S88 engine. No starter rebuild shops locally anymore

What's the Hino part number?

I only ask as many of the Japan tractor brands only used the 3 primary alternator and starter makers of, Mitsubishi, Denso and Hitachi. And among those three, they all made the same starters the other ones made too.

So, with the many look up and cross reference charts I've found on the Japan sites, we can find one to fit, work and behave normally for your machine.

Because I'm the 3rd owner of YTOG, I also inherited these Japan tractor listservs from Yahoo Groups.

So, I have those records in an archived database.

Yanmar and Mitsubishi are the only two groups continuing to this day.

YTOG,
main groups.io Group

MSTG

There are other records I have access too. Some of these are the parts manuals. Some complete, some in fragments. I've not taken the time to piece it all back together, nor have the real bandwidth in life to do so. The YTOG takes much of my free volunteer life. I do some things with the MSTG.

This is from their database for the E15

Have you opened up the Elec. motor to see and look for a problem.? Had to go into mine and cleaned it up and it worked for Yrs.. Made them a lot different back then. The New ASAP parts don't even show a Starter for a Hinomoto. E-bay was cheap with many options.
