Hi,
I have a question about painting my sickle mower.
I have just bought a gallon can of ACE brand industrial enamel.
On the can it tell what to thin with, but not which ratio
to use
Oh I plan on spraying this.

and have a great weekend

If you are spraying with a conventional, siphon feed compressed air sprayer you'll probably need to thin quite a bit. Almost as thin as say, whole milk? Try maybe a 3:1 paint to thinner ratio and experiment from there. (qualifier... I worked in a body shop over 20 years ago and painting was never my strength /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif )

If an airless sprayer you'll be able to use nearly as is.

Robs,

Thanks for the help. I am using a sypon type sprayer.

there should be amix ratio on the can, but lots of them are not giving much info. try and get the paint mix to be about as thick as a heavy chocolate milk, like described above, mix it thick and try a bit of spray, if it comes out stringy or leave the surface very wavy (orange peel effect) then thinn it a bit more. and try again...
Just don't take a drink to see if it is the right consistancy!
