Parking Raised Loader

well not to be a trouble maker, but I'm not sure is OP is in snow country. If he is the beam may hold loader now, but will it with tons of snow on roof? or is he just going to cause a roof failure . Now if he has NO snow...then disregard this post

Agreed, but I was under the impression it was some kind of wall framing member, not roof, that would make a difference for sure though.

A pic would of helped.

I have the same situation, I went for the good old redneck solution and cut a nice big hole in the back of my shed for the bucket. One concern with leaving the bucket up is that your chrome cylinders are extended and left exposed to the elements.

its amazing that all these large quarry machines/etc can spend their lives outside, operate daily for tens of thousands of hours, and not have cylinder pitting issues. somehow combines, snowplows, snow loaders, planting equipment, etc manages to function after sitting for 8 months with its cylinders exposed. good lord, cylinder pitting would be my LAST concern
