Walt, I have a 06 F-350 4x4 SRW and it has the same junk tires on it. Second worst 4x4 vehicle I have ever driven in the snow behind the 90's GMC 3500 Dually I used to plow with using a Boss V Plow. That thing stunk.

Comparing a dually pickup with a 1,000lb plow hanging off the front to a SRW pickup in snow is ridiculous. Even without a plow it would get worse traction than an SRW. Who would believe otherwise? Next time put some weight in the back so the rear tires have some down pressure.

Anyway, I changed to Toyo tires on the 06 F-350 and its now much better. My 04 F-250 came with BFG's and it was twice the truck the F-350 was in the snow.

I will never buy another Continental or a vehicle with them on it.

Still the best truck on the market.

Chris

Amazing the "best truck on the market" is equipped with such crap for tires, isn't it? In '07 my GMC came with a very good tire in the 16" size that's cheap to replace at $125/tire and got better than average traction right off the dealer lot. :)

I think they all run the blingy wheels/tires now. Look great, but way too expensive to replace.

I had the rear end full. Problem with a dually as you know in the snow is it has issues figuring out which tire to follow the tracks of the fronts. This has nothing to do with it being GM, Dodge, or Ford. Its just a downside of a dually.

Calling the factory tires good is a stretch. They were not bad on my 05 and my neighbors 07 but left a lot of room for improvement. I believe they were Bridgestone. I did not keep my long enough to wear them out but he went though two sets of the oem tires in 55,000 miles. Now has Goodyear on it. Time will tell how they will do. They are a MT so probably about the same. They were better than the Continentals that came on my F-350 but not nearly as good as the BFG's that came on my F-250.

Here's my 2003 Ford F250 SD with an Fisher 8 foot Minute Mount II on it. I'm running Pro Comp mud & snows on her and she pushes snow. I also use my 7275 Cub Cadet with a loader and 7 foot LandPride grader blade. The tires on it in the picture are my summer Firestone's and aluminum wheels. I'm running the Pro Comp's on factory Ford chrome steelies

Hey Jake, I welded up the mount from some some heavy angle I had and bolt that at the very back of the bottom of the bucket, ran a pair of hydraulic lines from the scv's down the loader arms to the the bucket where I have quick disconnects to the plow. Hope this helps, Rick

Try Sim's Cab company up in Canada. They used to be in Rutland, Ma. You can even get them with a heater.

I procrastinated too long on a Meyers P/A for $150. Probably never see that price again, but I was thinking of a setup like that. What'd you use, 2 or 3 big bolts?
