I bought and old double bottom Dearborn plow and hot to play around with it this weekend. Power line has not been worked in 40+ years and you could tell. I did not know it at the time but I have since find out I own the hardest ground in the state of Alabama.
I need your assistance in assisting the plow. My ground is not level with a difference in elevation of maybe 30' over a difference of maybe 100 yards. Not a gentle slope in one direction but a hill top, down about a dip of 30' to the low point and then a rise again to the end point also about the same height. My problem is going down in one direction is fine, Plow is centered. However I do not back up and plow in same direction. I am plowing in a rectangular direction. So coming back up in the opposite direction the plow shifts in the top link and is now off center. Because of this the plow shifts and I no longer plowing in the last furrow. I have adjusted the stabilizers to the maximum extent however that is not adjusting the side play in the top link. Suggestions?
