A piece of 1-1/2" pvc pipe fits snugly over a t-post (at least the ones I get). You can secure it by drilling a horizontal hole all the way through the pipe parallel to the lugged side and running a 16d nail through the holes so it rests on a lug. Or you can drive a deck screw the same way and skip the drilling. You can attach stuff directly to the pipe with wood screws, or you can use pipe straps like you would use for fastening pipe in place.

The ignorance is actually on those that don't understand what the sign means.

Google 'posted land'

'posted' itself has a meaning. ;)

Ignorance can be bliss.. till someone calls you on it. ;)

The ignorance is on the part of those who assume that "posting" land means putting up a sign with the word, "posted" on it.

It does not. It means putting signage in a conspicuous place. It comes from the ancient practice of putting notices up on posts in the town square. That's why we have post offices.

It has NEVER meant putting the word POSTED on a sign, except in the minds of the ignorant.

It's like people putting the actual word, "signed" at the end of a letter, because they heard someone read a letter and end with "signed, Joe Schmoe".

It doesn't mean the actual word, "signed" is written on the letter.

The actual word, "Posted" on a sign does nothing except reveal ignorance.

Don't know why you Keep going off on this. The word does have a purpose, and it makes sense to use it this way. Not required to say "posted", but not wrong either.
The wrong is calling people ignorant.

And I think the OP just wanted some tips on he might post some signs on T posts, not an English lesson or a discussion on "right and proper", or getting into legal issues.

He wanted to know what time it was, not how to build a clock

In Missouri no signs are needed. Just purple paint on trees or posts every so often near the property line. Hard to steal or damage a paint stripe.

Under Missouri's law: Purple Paint Statute (RSMO 569.145)

Any owner or lessee of real property can post property with the purple paint marks.
Purple paint marks must be placed on either trees or posts (the statute does not specifically allow the option of placing paint marks on buildings).
Vertical paint lines must be at least 8 inches long (the statute does not mention a maximum length).
The bottom edge of each paint mark must be between 3 feet and 5 feet off the ground.
Paint marks must be readily visible to any person approaching the property.
Purple paint marks cannot be more than 100 ft. apart.

Your state may have similar laws.

Agree. Seems like a sign that says "Posted: No Trespassing" is similar to a sign that says "It has been declared that: No trespassing is allowed" or "Notice: No trespassing is allowed" Is it a redundant pleonasm? (-See what I did there?) Maybe. But it's usage is very similar to a sign that says "Read the following: No Trespassing!"

Had to put Posted signs up at church last year. Neighbor kids were riding around the gym and all over the grounds. Cut a groove in some 3/4 plywood, filled it with construction adhesive, then screwed it to the T post. Mounted signs I found on Amazon. sign.jpg
