Thanks again for taking this list on, it definitely helps people! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif One suggestion if I may, instead of re-copying the list again and again just "edit" this first message in the thread with new updates. That way someone first clicking on the thread will have the most up to date list right there on the top.

Your suggestion is really a good one. I also asked this when I started this thread but was told that I could edit only during the first x hours. This would be a great change for TBN if the person who started thread had the ability to edit indefinitely. Thanks for your comment, right on target.

We still have a limit on the number of hours we can edit before the edit link goes dark, and I'm not sure that editing a thread brings it to the front. I thought it didn't do that.

I don't think editing brings it to the top -- I think he'd have to post the new list as a new reply to his original topic...

Not only am I learning more and more about tractors, projects and PTs on this forum but you guys are educating me about the forum itself now! /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

If it wasn't for the "x hours of editing" problem a person could update thier initial thread and then add a new message that says "Update xx/xx/xx" to bring it back to the top. Too bad about the limited edit time frame... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

It prevents mischief. If it were unlimited, someone could post one thing, wait days or weeks for the replies to filter in, then change the original post to something else in order to make the replies out be something they weren't.

That's still possible of course, but it would show up in the current day's posts and be caught right away, and I have to have some time to clean up after myself. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

I think that the TBN crew has set up a reasonable compromise.
