Well, how do you like that.... been away from the cable splicing guys for 5 or 6 years and they change technology. However, if you have 144 strands with two ends and a piece in the middle thats 288 times 13 minutes. Ack!!

don't fret most of splice guys triple team the quicklocks and can complete a splice tray(12 fibers) in 2-3 minutes. most of that time is for digging back, laying new cable and prep time. I learned it the old way of cleave and polish then learned fusion, nowdays these guys are completing quick locks in seconds

Dang - technology is great!!

Ain't it the truth; just finished changing oil & filters, checking tires, transmissions, etc. on both the car and the pickup myself. At least it's faster than driving to town and waiting for them to do it./w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif
