PTO driven lawn sweeper?

I've thought about taking 2 3' ones and hooking them together. But, there would be a gap in the center and I haven't figured out how to get around that. The other problem with the current ones is that they don't hold very much. I spend as much time going to dump it as I do filling it. It's really bad in the fall with leaves, it fills up really fast.

Add a third one in the center behind the front two. I remember seeing this years ago probably doing school ground work

This is a little off topic, but here's what I did and avoided having to lay out a couple of hundred bucks for a lawn sweeper. I take the riding mower and blow the grass to be raked into long narrow strips, almost to the point if I make another pass it will blow the grass too far to the other side of the row. I then start making passes directly across the row and start blowing the row into a pile by making circles closer to the center of the pile. Each row might take several piles, depending on the length of the row and how much grass you have. What you should wind up with are piles about 3-4 feet in diameter. I then get my rake and load them up in the FEL and dump them in the field. This weekend I did this on about 3 acres and had about 20 or so piles due to the amount of rain and high grass. It only took three trips with the FEL to get them all cleaned up and about two or so hours of work. You can really compact the grass into the FEL to increase your capacity. I found this easier than having to continuously empty the lawn sweeper. Having the grass in a pile already is a timesaver and backsaver.

Last year I was looking at lawn sweepers but saw that most of the reviews for the ones that you could get at big box stores were mixed. I looked at the Parker ones and they were well over $600. I like what I'm doing now better, I only have to use the equipment that I have and I can move quite a bit of grass at one time. Doing it this way I'll never buy a lawn sweeper.

Sisis are imported to the US from the UK.... they have a 72" PTO sweeper complete with hydraulic emptying. Will take 70cu feet of grass before it needs tipping out...
