We recently bought a sr110 Kuhn hay rake and we use a 1985 270MF to rake with. It has one set of hydraulic remotes and it raises the rake, but won’t let it down unless you pull each arm down to get it started. Im assuming it doesn’t put pressure to the down side. Is there anyway to remedy this?

It sounds like your hay rake is on the three point hitch. If that's the case, most if not all three point hitches raise under pressure and go down by gravity. There is an adjustment for the lowering speed. It is frequently a valve or handle under the seat.

It’s a pull behind rake, it works of the hydraulic remotes.

Are your hydraulic valve adjustable between singel and double action? Does it work with other equipment?

I don’t think it is adjustable, it’s worked with everything we’ve had hooked to it, but this is the first piece of equipment we’ve had hooked to it that needed down pressure. We have a RK55hc and the rake works as it should hooked to it

Just an update, it is adjustable but as said earlier this is the first piece of equipment we’ve had hooked to it to need dual action. I figured out how to switch it yesterday. Thanks for the replies
