Rats & Dogs dammage my work van.

My wife called me up a couple of weeks ago and told me that the dogs were tearing apart my van. I had the van towed to the dealer today to get an estimate to repair the damages.The estimate is $ 4,500 dollars /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif!!!!!!! My dogs have killed some ground squirls around the yard and they will tear anything apart to get at them. My van a 2001 GMC Savane one ton cargo van with 23,000 miles. It has been sitting at the bottom of my lot in the dirt for about 6 months.

I would certainly look for used parts at a junkyard. You can get bucket seats for a conversion van cheap enough. Door panels and a dash pad should be available at the junkyard. How much else did they ruin?

Damage
Two complete wiring harnises
chewed on break lines.
teared up wiring to break controller
teared up front grill.
chewed on radiator hoses
ripped out all molding under passenger wheel well and rubber that protects the fender from rust and dings.
ripped out insulation and fire retarding insulation around the wiring.
this is what has been found so far !!!!!
Good news I had Full coverage on the van and it is going to be covered under the comprenhesive part of the policy, with a $500. deductable and a rental car. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif David.

I got my work van back today it cost the insurance $6,500 dollars and the use of a rental car for the weeks. I also payed the $500 dollar deductable.
