I've got a B-7610 with a RCK-60 mower. How do you know when the spindles are full of grease>I don't want to bust a seal.
Also are the wheels suppose to touch the ground when you mow.
Thanks.

I grease until I see a slight return at the fitting...

Scalp wheel height changes with the mowing height of the deck - but the answer is no - they should not touch, mine are usually about 1/2" - 3/4" off the ground.

The manual details the cut height to scalp wheel height...if you need it I can post it...

Tony,

I'm guessing that you have the RCK60-24B deck. This deck is a ground riding deck not a suspended deck. What this means is that the wheels roll on the ground. The two little rollers (in front and on the right side of the deck) do not ride on the ground.

The best way to make sure that the mower spindles get enough grease is to pull the blades and remove the dust cups. Pump grease until you see grease begin to ooze out though the splines. I have the RCK54-24B deck. The 2 outside spindles took about 40 pumps of grease and the center spindle took over 70 pumps when the deck was new.

Regards,
Duber
