Different styles. But, perhaps one should specify. They all have hidden fasteners of one sort or another.I'm an old guy, and like to keep nomenclature straight. Very little standing seam is done any more, because it requires a tinner to solder all the joints. What people call standing seam is actually concealed fastener lock seam. It's good roofing. I used it on my shop.
My Knudson KR-24 does a crimped lock seam. Whereas the snap lock seam is far more popular today.
I have wondered how one repairs the crimped seam roofing if a couple of panels need replaced.
