Can anyone provide feedback on how difficult it might be to swap out an LA514 for an LA724 loader? I have a line on a couple decent used tractors, but but they are equipped with the LA514 and I wanted the stronger loader. I assume dealers won't take them in a trade, but even if they did is the LA724 even available? Thanks!

I bought my L3940 new without FEL. A year later I bought a used LA724 loader from Barlows. I picked up used loader only from Barlows on my trailer, and did the complete install on the L3940 by myself at home. No big deal removing or installing. Philip.

I guess what I mean is will I be able to find a LA724? And if so will it be tough to sell the LA514?

Contact your dealer and see if new LA724's are available. I was able to find a used LA724, so it is possible. Do a search for used LA514's for sale, that will tell you how tough they are to sell, or may tell you that they are in high demand (none listed). Philip.

LA724s are still available from Kubota they come in around $5800 with QA and bucket. So now I guess the question is whether or not I can get rid of the LA514 and not take a bath on it. A pretty thorough search online shows two LA514s in the US (one on ebay, the other on tractorhouse) and no LA724s. If anyone has other ideas/thoughts I'd appreciate it!

In May of 2010 I was quoted thru local Kubota dealer $4724 for new LA724, QA, and heavy duty round back bucket. I bought the same components used for $3000. Put it up for sale and see what happens. Good luck!
