The sheet metal is .25" or 6.5mm. You can sit on the hood and not dent it.

I spent time in Moscow in the 1990s and have experienced motoring on Russian streets and roads in Russian passenger cars. Nearly knocked the fillings out of my teeth. Thankfully my Russian hosts had access to several Mercedes sedans.
