Hopefully this is a simple fix. I bought this pump assembly after my old pump died, paying extra because I thought it was going to be a simple plug&play. I got it home and out of the box, then realized I need to install the pressure switch. No problem, right? Well, except there isn稚 enough room now that the uptake line was installed at the factory. Can I just put a threaded pipe extension on, high enough to get it up over the plumbing, or will that mess up the switch? If not I知 going to return it, I paid too much money to start taking it apart.

Thank you.

Thank you. I didn't think that it would, but once it's been hooked up I can't take it back.

Anywhere off the pressure tank or line will be fine.

How reliable is the well? There are pressure switches that shut down the pump if the pressure drops too low, as in the well running dry. It keeps you from having to repair the pump, which does not like running dry. There's a little lever on the side for a manual reset.
