My tractor has around 35 PTO HP, weighs around 5k#, lifts around 2800 at the rear --- So, I'm probably right around the dividing line between the small/big sized 3-pt consumer grinders. Woods seems to be the cheapest in price. I'm still calling around to get pricing on others.
But... can you provide input on which ones you like best for the price? There's quite a few out there, Woods, Shaver, Baumalight, WorkSaver, StumpEater, etc... if you have any personal experience with any of the brands, I'm hoping to hear it. Especially, what (if anything) you would have done differently in your purchase?
I currently have around 100+ stumps ranging from 6" to 36" , and I will probably have an endless supply of new stumps to grind each year, including another 100 trees I'll be taking down this "warm season." I have ZERO interest in paying someone to do it, renting a walk-behind, or digging up my yard with a backhoe. These hold their value well so if I use it for 5 years and sell it for half the price I paid... I'll be more than happy. I can't find these for rent anywhere near me, so a purchase makes the most sense.
Thanks in advance!
