Do u guys think a 7' heavy duty bush hog is to much for an 85 hp tractor. 75 pto
What tractor? What outside rear tire width? With or without FEL counterbalance? How heavy a Bush Hog?

I use a 7 foot deck on my LS P7010 and it hardly knows it is back there unless I hit really high wire grass. My deck is made from 1/4" plate all around and weighs more than 1500 pound which makes it a good counter weight for my FEL. A 7 foot is about all I can use to get between the trees where I mow otherwise, I could likely pull a 15 foot batwing but maybe not as fast as I pull the 7 foot. Weeds cut much easier than tall grass so much depends on what you are mowing but with your tractor and a 7 foot mower, you could be mowing down small trees with no problem of power, 5 HP per foot is generally accepted formula for PTO power.Do u guys think a 7' heavy duty bush hog is to much for an 85 hp tractor. 75 pto
It will, but I'd rather have a dual spindle 8' cutter than a 7' single. I used to run a 10' cutter with our old 2355, 56 PTO hp.

BH 3008 is a dual spindle?
