What tractor? What outside rear tire width? With or without FEL counterbalance? How heavy a Bush Hog?

Its a t4.85 new holland. It does have a fel. I cznt remember the model on the e mower but it is the heavy duty bush hog brand. An it has 18 tires set on 36 inch row spacing. Not sure of exact outside width

You could pull / lift an 8' Bush Hog 3008 Dual GB cutter. We have one on a 96 HP NH just to get between trees.

See our Avitar.

It will, but I'd rather have a dual spindle 8' cutter than a 7' single.

I used to run a 10' cutter with our old 2355, 56 PTO hp.

I use a 7 foot deck on my LS P7010 and it hardly knows it is back there unless I hit really high wire grass. My deck is made from 1/4" plate all around and weighs more than 1500 pound which makes it a good counter weight for my FEL. A 7 foot is about all I can use to get between the trees where I mow otherwise, I could likely pull a 15 foot batwing but maybe not as fast as I pull the 7 foot. Weeds cut much easier than tall grass so much depends on what you are mowing but with your tractor and a 7 foot mower, you could be mowing down small trees with no problem of power, 5 HP per foot is generally accepted formula for PTO power.

BH 3008 is a dual spindle?

Does multi spindle use less hp?
